ORGANIZATION

BFF KAYAK RACE is organized by the Break a Leg agency, in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the city of Biograd na Moru. The race starts on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 5:00 PM, from the beach near the Ilirija pool, in Biograd na Moru. The route is approximately 3 km long.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

All individuals who meet the following conditions can participate in the TANDEM KAYAK RACE:

- aged 18 and above

- individuals aged 14 to 18 can participate if they have a signed permission from a parent or guardian LINK TO FORM

- completed registration for the race (filled out online form at www.stotinka.hr + payment of entry fee)

Registration for the race is valid for TWO COMPETITORS (tandem), as kayaking is done in pairs. Kayaks for the race are provided by the organizer.

By registering and paying the entry fee, competitors agree to compete in the race at their own risk, acknowledge the rules and regulations of the race, and the possible risks involved in the competition. They waive the possibility of transferring responsibility to the race organizer, other competitors, or third parties. By registering, competitors confirm that they are in appropriate psycho-physical condition suitable for this type of competition.

STARTER PACKS

Collection of starter packs is organized at the main location: near the Ilirija pool in Biograd na Moru, on Sunday, June 23, from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM.

Starter pack contents: race number, competition t-shirt, bag for storing personal items in the dressing room. Presentation of a personal document is mandatory for the collection of the starter pack and race number. Collection of the race number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the personal document of the registered person.

COMPETITION NUMBERS

Each TANDEM receives their own race number. The race number MUST BE WORN throughout the race, on the upper part of the body, in front, must not be covered, and must be clearly visible.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

By registering, competitors declare that they are familiar with the list of MANDATORY CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT:

- swimming trunks/swimsuit and/or shorts and t-shirt and/or short wetsuit

- sneakers, neoprene slippers, or barefoot

DESCRIPTION OF THE RACE/TIMING

The race starts from the finish line, which will be set near the end, and will follow a circular route around a buoy. It will consist of 3 laps. The course is approximately 3,000 meters long.

The race results will be announced immediately after the race on the website www.stotinka.hr.

ROUTE CHANGES

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the route without prior notice, according to weather conditions.

ENTRY FEE PAYMENT

By paying the entry fee, competitors confirm acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid.

In case of non-attendance at the race, the paid fee will not be refunded.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments are provided for competitors after the race (with presentation of the race number).

WARDROBE

Storage for storing personal items during the race is provided in the immediate vicinity of the race start and will be available for competitors at the finish line. Storage is only possible in the bag provided as part of the starter pack and with the presentation of the race number at delivery and collection. NATURE PROTECTION

The race takes place in nature, and accordingly, it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of nature and environmental protection and to respect rules of behavior in protected natural areas. Competitors must not pollute the environment, destroy surrounding flora and fauna, dispose of waste, or litter at any destination where the race takes place or throw it into the sea.

Let's be careful towards nature, preserve it, and enjoy it in its most beautiful form!

MEDIA FREEDOM CONSENT

By registering for the race, competitors agree that all recorded film and photographic material may be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes of the race. The race organizer retains all rights to use, copy, and distribute all recorded video and photo materials.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

On May 25, 2018, the GDPR or European Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data came into force, determining under what conditions data submitted to a third party may or may not be used. Of course, this concerns us too, as we collect your data for the purpose of race registration, so please keep the following in mind:

- We will only use the data we receive from you exclusively for the purpose of your competition registration. We will only publicly disclose this data in two cases – the publication of the list of starting competitors and the publication of the competition results. Since the competition itself would make no sense without your data and they are posted online solely for your information, according to regulations, their use is voluntary, and their publication is permitted.

- When registering through the www.stotinka.hr system, to continue filling out your data, you must agree to the terms of use, which includes GDPR regulations. If you have any objections to the publication of your data in the form of starting and finishing lists, please let us know so that we can remove you from them. Although this action would lose the purpose of your participation in the competition and you would lose your position in it, we are obliged to do so if you request it.

- From the moment of your registration for the competition until the start of the competition itself, you will receive several emails from us with information related to the organization of the competition and registration for it, all still in the context of your voluntary participation in it.

- The data that will be publicly disclosed before the competition are: your name, club, country. Other data such as your date of birth, email address, home address, city, and all other requested data, remain in our database until the end of the race, for the purpose of intervention towards the competitor in case of unforeseen circumstances. The data is deleted after the competition, and only the results including data such as your race number, name, club, country, category, gender, and position remain publicly displayed.

- We may not and will not use your data for other purposes or sell them to third parties for remarketing purposes.

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

All children who meet the following criteria can participate in the BFF Aquathlon for kids 100 m swim + 1 km run:

- Up to the age of 11 (born in 2013 or later)

- Children can participate with a signed permission form from their parent or guardian [LINK TO FORM]

- Completed registration for the race (filled out the online form at www.stotinka.hr + paid the entry fee)

By registering and paying the entry fee, participants directly agree to compete at their own risk, are aware of the rules and regulations of the competition, as well as the potential risks involved. They also waive the possibility of transferring responsibility to the race organizer, other participants, or third parties. By registering, participants confirm that they are in appropriate psycho-physical condition suitable for this type of competition.

START PACKAGES

Start packages can be picked up at the main location: near the Ilirija pool in Biograd na Moru, on Sunday, June 23, from 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Contents of the start package: race number, competition T-shirt, bag for storing personal belongings in the wardrobe. To pick up the start package and race number, it is mandatory to present a personal document. Pick up of the start number for another person is possible only with presentation of the personal document of the registered person.

RACE NUMBERS

Each participant receives their race number. The race number is written on the participant's arm with a waterproof marker by the organizer. Each participant is required to keep their race number for later retrieval of personal belongings and refreshments after the race.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

By registering, participants declare that they are familiar with the list of MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:

- Swimming costumes, skinsuits with FINA certificate, or triathlon suits

- Running shoes

- During the running part, it is mandatory to wear a shirt or jersey

RACE DESCRIPTION/TIME MEASUREMENT

The Aquathlon for kids 100 m swim + 1 km run starts at the Ilirija pool in Biograd na Moru. Children swim 100 m in the pool and then proceed to run 1 km.

The race results will be published immediately after the competition on the website www.stotinka.hr.

CHANGE OF COURSE

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the course without prior notice, depending on weather conditions.

ENTRY FEE PAYMENT

By paying the entry fee, participants confirm acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid.

In case of non-attendance, the paid fee will not be refunded.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments will be provided for participants after the race (upon presentation of the race number).

WARDROBE

Storage for storing personal belongings during the competition will be provided near the start location and will await participants at the finish line. Storage is possible only in the bag provided as part of the start package and upon presentation of the race number at delivery and retrieval. After the first part of the competition, swimming, competitors will exit the sea, put on their running shoes, and continue running along the marked 2 km track.

Competition results will be published shortly after the competition on the website www.stotinka.hr.

Distance: 5 km

Race Start/Finish: On the beach near Ilirija Pool.

Time Limit: 3 hours

Registration Fee: 15 EUR

START PACKAGES: Start package collection is organized at the main location, on the beach near Ilirija Pool, on Saturday, June 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Start package contents: race number, race shirt, sponsor gifts, festival medal, storage bag for personal items in the cloakroom. Presentation of personal identification is mandatory for package collection. Collection of a start number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the registered person's identification.

BFF TRAIL 5 KM starts in front of Hotel Ilirija and follows the Dražice promenade to Soline Beach. Following the coastline, the trail passes through Ljutić and Kumenat beaches. After 2.5 km, the trail turns inland on a gravel road back to Biograd. At 3.5 kilometers, there is a refreshment station. Regulations

ORGANIZATION

The BFF Trail 5 km, part of the BIOGRAD FAMILY & FRIENDS FESTIVAL, is organized by the agency Break a leg, in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Biograd na Moru. The race starts on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., next to the Ilirija Pool in Biograd na Moru.

CATEGORIES

Participants can compete in three categories:

5 km – INDIVIDUAL

9 km – INDIVIDUAL

14 km – TEAM (one participant runs 5 km, and the other 9 km – results are combined to determine the winning pair)

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

All individuals meeting the following criteria may participate:

- aged 18 and above

- individuals aged 14-18 may participate with a signed permit from parents or guardians [LINK TO FORM]

- participants under 14 may participate accompanied by an adult responsible for the minor and with a signed permission form from parents or guardians [LINK TO FORM]

- possess suitable physical and mental fitness for endurance activities in nature

- completed race registration (filled online form at www.stotinka + payment of registration fee)

By registering, participants consent to compete at their own risk, abide by race rules and regulations, and acknowledge the potential risks involved.

Participants declare awareness of the list of RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT, crucial for personal safety, acknowledging that its absence increases the risk of dehydration, injury irreparability, inability to call for help, inability to assist injured participants, inability to contact the organizer, and even death. By registering, participants waive the possibility of transferring responsibility to the race organizer or other participants. Participants confirm appropriate physical and mental fitness for such competition.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

The organizer recommends the following equipment for all participants, regardless of the race length:

- backpack or waist pack

- bottle with at least 0.5 liters of liquid at the start

- food (gel, energy bar, etc.)

- first aid kit (1 elastic bandage, 1 first aid kit, 2 compresses, various-sized band-aids)

- mobile phone (turned on, charged, organizer's numbers saved)

Recommended equipment according to weather conditions:

- clothing for sun/wind/rain protection

- sunscreen

START PACKAGES

Start package collection is organized at the main location: Next to the Ilirija Pool in Biograd na Moru, on Saturday, June 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Start package contents: race number, race shirt, water bottle, storage bag for personal items in the cloakroom. Presentation of personal identification is mandatory for package collection. Collection of a start number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the registered person's identification.

RACE NUMBERS

Upon registration confirmation, each participant will receive a race number.

The race number MUST BE WORN throughout the race, on the upper body, front-facing, not covered, and clearly visible (it is not allowed to wear the race number on legs, back, backpack, or sides).

Each race number prominently displays the organizer's contact number in case of emergency.

WARDROBE

Storage for personal item during the race is provided near the race start/finish. Storage is only possible in the bag provided as part of the start package and with the presentation of the race number during deposit and retrieval. For unclaimed items during the specified time, participants should contact the organizer's representative at +385993239643.

REFRESHMENTS

Participants are provided with DINNER at the FINISH (with the presentation of the race number).

COURSE DESCRIPTION / TIME MEASUREMENT

The 5 km course includes a 60 m elevation gain starting in front of Hotel Ilirija and follows the Dražice promenade to Soline Beach. Continuing along the coastline, the course passes through Ljutić and Kumenat beaches. After 2.5 km, the route turns inland on a gravel road back to Biograd. At 3.5 kilometers, there is a refreshment station. Participants then pass through Camping Park Soline and proceed to the finish line in front of Hotel Ilirija.

Several checkpoints along the route will be manned by race representatives.

Participant timing is recorded at the START and at the FINISH entrance. Race results will be posted immediately after the race on the website www.stotinka.hr.

TRAIL MARKINGS

The 5 km course will be marked with YELLOW markings or ribbons, which participants must follow from start to finish.

TIME LIMITS

There is a time limit for completing the race. To be officially ranked, participants must finish within a specified time limit (2 hours for the 5 km trail).

WITHDRAWAL

Participants deciding to withdraw during the race must:

- return to the start/finish and inform the organizer of withdrawal, or

- inform the organizer via mobile phone (number displayed on the race number)

If withdrawal is due to injury and the participant cannot return to the start/finish, they must contact the organizer via phone or with the assistance of other participants using the number provided on the race number.

COURSE MODIFICATIONS

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the course at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be announced on the official race website.

REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT

Payment of the registration fee confirms acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid.

In case of non-attendance, the registration fee is non-refundable.

NATURE PROTECTION

Races take place in nature, and it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of nature and environmental protection and respect the rules of behavior in protected natural areas. Participants must not pollute the environment, destroy flora and fauna, litter the trail, or dispose of waste between the start and finish lines.

MEDIA FREEDOM CONSENT

By registering for the race, participants agree that all recorded film and photographic material may be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes. The race organizer reserves all rights to use, copy, and distribute all recorded video and photo materials.

On May 25, 2018, the GDPR or European Regulation for Personal Data Protection came into effect, determining how and under what conditions data submitted to a third party may be used. Naturally, this also concerns us, who collect your data for race registration purposes. Please consider the following:

These data will only be publicly disclosed in two cases – publication of the starting list of participants and publication of race results. Since the race itself would make no sense without your data and they are posted online solely for your information, their use is voluntary according to regulations, and their publication is permitted.

If you have any objections to the publication of your data in the form of starting and finish lists, please contact us so we can remove you from them. REFRESHMENTS

During the race, participants are provided with 1 REFRESHMENT on the course.

At the FINISH, participants are provided with DINNER (with presentation of the race number).

The long route starts in front of the Ilirija Hotel and is circular. Participants who opt for this route will enjoy a 9 km trail, with a 90-meter ascent. Participants who decide to withdraw during the race must do the following:

- inform the organizer at the refreshment station about withdrawal, or

- return to the start/finish and inform the organizer about withdrawal, or

- inform the organizer via mobile phone (displayed on the race number) about withdrawal.

If withdrawal is due to injury and the participant is unable to continue to the start/finish of the race, the participant must contact the organizer via phone / with the help of other participants at the number displayed on the race number.

ROUTE CHANGE

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the route at any time and without prior notice. Any changes will be announced on the official race website.

ENTRY FEE PAYMENT

By paying the entry fee, the participant confirms acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid.

In case of absence from the race, the paid fee will not be refunded.

NATURE PROTECTION

The races are held in nature, and accordingly, it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of nature and environmental protection and to respect the rules of behavior in protected natural areas. The BFF Fitness Challenge is suitable for all levels of fitness, meaning everyone can participate in this interesting and dynamic competition! It includes strength, endurance, balance, and agility exercises on land and in water, so get ready for an unforgettable experience with your BFF!
