START PACKAGES: Start package collection is organized at the main location, on the beach near Ilirija Pool, on Saturday, June 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Start package contents: race number, race shirt, sponsor gifts, festival medal, storage bag for personal items in the cloakroom. Presentation of personal identification is mandatory for package collection. Collection of a start number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the registered person's identification.
BFF TRAIL 5 KM starts in front of Hotel Ilirija and follows the Dražice promenade to Soline Beach. Following the coastline, the trail passes through Ljutić and Kumenat beaches. After 2.5 km, the trail turns inland on a gravel road back to Biograd. At 3.5 kilometers, there is a refreshment station. Participants then pass through Camping Park Soline and proceed to the finish line in front of Hotel Ilirija.
The 5 km course will be marked with RED markings or ribbons, which participants must follow from start to finish.

ORGANIZATION
The BFF Trail 5 km, part of the BIOGRAD FAMILY & FRIENDS FESTIVAL, is organized by the agency Break a leg, in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Biograd na Moru. The race starts on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., next to the Ilirija Pool in Biograd na Moru.
CATEGORIES
Participants can compete in three categories:
5 km – INDIVIDUAL
9 km – INDIVIDUAL
14 km – TEAM (one participant runs 5 km, and the other 9 km – results are combined to determine the winning pair)
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
All individuals meeting the following criteria may participate:
- aged 18 and above
- individuals aged 14-18 may participate with a signed permit from parents or guardians [LINK TO FORM]
- participants under 14 may participate accompanied by an adult responsible for the minor and with a signed permission form from parents or guardians [LINK TO FORM]
- possess suitable physical and mental fitness for endurance activities in nature
- completed race registration (filled online form at www.stotinka + payment of registration fee)
By registering, participants consent to compete at their own risk, abide by race rules and regulations, and acknowledge the potential risks involved.
Participants declare awareness of the list of RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT, crucial for personal safety, acknowledging that its absence increases the risk of dehydration, injury irreparability, inability to call for help, inability to assist injured participants, inability to contact the organizer, and even death. By registering, participants waive the possibility of transferring responsibility to the race organizer or other participants. Participants confirm appropriate physical and mental fitness for such competition.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
The organizer recommends the following equipment for all participants, regardless of the race length:
- backpack or waist pack
- bottle with at least 0.5 liters of liquid at the start
- food (gel, energy bar, etc.)
- first aid kit (1 elastic bandage, 1 first aid kit, 2 compresses, various-sized band-aids)
- mobile phone (turned on, charged, organizer's numbers saved)
Recommended equipment according to weather conditions:
- clothing for sun/wind/rain protection
- sunscreen
- spare clothing
START PACKAGES
Start package collection is organized at the main location: Next to the Ilirija Pool in Biograd na Moru, on Saturday, June 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Start package contents: race number, race shirt, water bottle, storage bag for personal items in the cloakroom. Presentation of personal identification is mandatory for package collection. Collection of a start number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the registered person's identification.
RACE NUMBERS
Upon registration confirmation, each participant will receive a race number.
The race number MUST BE WORN throughout the race, on the upper body, front-facing, not covered, and clearly visible (it is not allowed to wear the race number on legs, back, backpack, or sides).
Each race number prominently displays the organizer's contact number in case of emergency.
WARDROBE
Storage for personal item during the race is provided near the race start/finish. Storage is only possible in the bag provided as part of the start package and with the presentation of the race number during deposit and retrieval. For unclaimed items during the specified time, participants should contact the organizer's representative at +385993239643.
REFRESHMENTS
Participants are provided with DINNER at the FINISH (with the presentation of the race number).
COURSE DESCRIPTION / TIME MEASUREMENT
The 5 km course includes a 60 m elevation gain starting in front of Hotel Ilirija and follows the Dražice promenade to Soline Beach. Continuing along the coastline, the course passes through Ljutić and Kumenat beaches. After 2.5 km, the route turns inland on a gravel road back to Biograd. At 3.5 kilometers, there is a refreshment station. Participants then pass through Camping Park Soline and proceed to the finish line in front of Hotel Ilirija.
Several checkpoints along the route will be manned by race representatives.
Participant timing is recorded at the START and at the FINISH entrance. Race results will be posted immediately after the race on the website www.stotinka.hr.
TRAIL MARKINGS
The 5 km course will be marked with YELLOW markings or ribbons, which participants must follow from start to finish.
TIME LIMITS
There is a time limit for completing the race. To be officially ranked, participants must finish within a specified time limit (2 hours for the 5 km trail).
WITHDRAWAL
Participants deciding to withdraw during the race must:
- return to the start/finish and inform the organizer of withdrawal, or
- inform the organizer via mobile phone (number displayed on the race number)
If withdrawal is due to injury and the participant cannot return to the start/finish, they must contact the organizer via phone or with the assistance of other participants using the number provided on the race number.
COURSE MODIFICATIONS
The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the course at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be announced on the official race website.
REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT
Payment of the registration fee confirms acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid.
In case of non-attendance, the registration fee is non-refundable.
NATURE PROTECTION
Races take place in nature, and it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of nature and environmental protection and respect the rules of behavior in protected natural areas. Participants must not pollute the environment, destroy flora and fauna, litter the trail, or dispose of waste between the start and finish lines.

MEDIA FREEDOM CONSENT
By registering for the race, participants agree that all recorded film and photographic material may be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes. The race organizer reserves all rights to use, copy, and distribute all recorded video and photo materials.
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
On May 25, 2018, the GDPR or European Regulation for Personal Data Protection came into effect, determining how and under what conditions data submitted to a third party may be used. Naturally, this also concerns us, who collect your data for race registration purposes. Please consider the following:
- We will only use the data we receive from you for the purpose of your race registration. These data will only be publicly disclosed in two cases – publication of the starting list of participants and publication of race results. Since the race itself would make no sense without your data and they are posted online solely for your information, their use is voluntary according to regulations, and their publication is permitted.
- When registering through the www.stotinka.hr system, to continue filling out the data, you must agree to the terms of use, including the GDPR regulations. If you have any objections to the publication of your data in the form of starting and finish lists, please contact us so we can remove you from them. By doing so, however, the purpose of your participation in the race is lost, and you lose your ranking in it, but we are obliged to do so if you request it.
- From the moment of your race registration until the race itself, you will receive several emails from us with information related to the race's conduct and registration for it, all in the context of your voluntary participation in it.
- The data that will be publicly disclosed before the race are: your name, your club, your country, and the race you are registering for. Other data such as your date of birth, email address, home address, city, and all other requested data remain in our database until the end of the race, for the purpose of intervention towards the runner in case of unforeseen circumstances. After the race, the data is deleted, and only the results are publicly displayed, including data: your race number, name, country, club, category, gender, and ranking.
- We are not allowed and will not use your data for other purposes or sell them to third parties for remarketing purposes.
