ORGANIZATION

BFF AQUATHLON BIG 1.5 KM SWIM + 4 KM RUN is organized by Break a leg agency, in cooperation with the Biograd na Moru Tourist Board and Klub Daljinskog plivanja Donat Zadar. The Aquathlon starts on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM, from the sea, near the Ilirija pool, in Biograd na Moru.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

All individuals meeting the following criteria can participate in the BFF AQUATHLON BIG 1.5 KM SWIM + 4 KM RUN:

- Aged 18 and above

- Individuals aged 14 to 18 can participate with a signed permission form from a parent or guardian. [LINK TO FORM]

- Completed race registration (filled out online form at www.stotinka.hr + payment of registration fee)

By registering and paying the fee, participants agree to compete at their own risk, abide by the competition rules and regulations, acknowledge the potential risks involved, and waive any liability towards the race organizer, other participants, or third parties. Participants confirm their suitable psycho-physical condition for such a competition.

STARTER PACKAGES

Starter package collection will be organized at the main location: near the Ilirija pool in Biograd na Moru, on Sunday, June 23, from 08:00 to 09:30 AM.

Starter package contents: race number, competition t-shirt, bag for storing personal items in the dressing room. Presentation of a personal document is mandatory for collecting the starter package and race number. Collection of the race number for another person is possible only upon presentation of the personal document of the registered individual.

COMPETITOR NUMBERS

Each competitor receives their own race number. The race number is written on the participant's arm with a waterproof marker by the organizer. Participants are required to keep their race number for later collection of personal belongings and refreshments after the competition.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

By registering, participants declare that they are familiar with the list of MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:

- Swimsuits (natural), FINA-certified skinsuits, and triathlon suits

- Running shoes

- A shirt or jersey must be worn during the running part of the race

DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPETITION/TIMING

The Aquathlon starts from the finish line set in the sea, not far from the shore, and involves swimming in a circular route around placed buoys for 1.5 km. After the swimming part, participants exit the sea, put on their shoes, and continue running on a marked 4 km route.

Competition results will be published immediately after the competition on the website www.stotinka.hr.

COURSE ALTERATIONS

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the course without prior notice, according to weather conditions.

REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT

By paying the registration fee, participants confirm their acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid.

In case of non-attendance, the paid fee will not be refunded.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments will be provided for participants after the race (upon presentation of the race number).

WARDEROBE

Storage for storing personal items during the competition will be provided near the starting point and will be available for participants at the finish line. Storage is only possible in the bag provided as part of the starter package and upon presentation of the race number at drop-off and collection. NATURE PROTECTION

The race takes place in nature, and accordingly, basic rules of nature and environmental protection must be followed, as well as rules of behavior in protected natural areas. Participants must not litter or pollute the environment during the competition.

MEDIA FREEDOM CONSENT

By registering for the competition, participants agree that all recorded video and photographic material can be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes of the race. The race organizer retains all rights to the use, copying, and distribution of all recorded video and photo materials.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

As of May 25, 2018, the GDPR or European Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data came into force, determining under what conditions data submitted to a third party may or may not be used. Of course, this concerns us as well, as we collect your data for the purpose of registering for the competition, so please keep the following in mind:

- We will use the data received from you exclusively for the purpose of your registration for the competition. This data will only be publicly disclosed in two cases – the publication of the list of competitors and the publication of the competition results. Since the competition itself would not make sense without your data and it is placed online solely for your information, according to regulations, its use is voluntary, and its publication is permitted.

 

- During each registration through the www.stotinka.hr system, to continue filling out the data, you must agree to the terms of use, which includes the GDPR regulation. If you have any objections to the publication of your data in the form of starting and finishing lists, please contact us so that we can remove you from them. By doing so, however, the purpose of your participation in the competition is lost, and you lose your position in it, but we are obliged to do so if you request it.

 

- From the moment of your registration for the competition until the actual competition takes place, you will receive several emails from us with information related to the competition and registration for it, all still within the context of your voluntary participation in it.

 

- The data that will be publicly disclosed before the competition are: your name, your club, your country, and the competition you are registering for. Other data such as your date of birth, email address, home address, city, and all other requested data will remain in our database until the end of the competition, for the purpose of intervention towards the competitor in case of unforeseen circumstances. Data will be deleted after the competition, and only the results will remain publicly displayed, including data such as your race number, name, surname, country, club, category, gender, and position.

 

- We may not and will not use your data for other purposes, nor sell them to third parties for remarketing purposes.
