ORGANIZATION

The BFF AQUATLON MEDIUM 500 M SWIMMING + 2 KM RUNNING is organized by the agency Break a Leg, in collaboration with the Tourist Board of the City of Biograd na Moru and Klub Daljinskog plivanja Donat Zadar. The Aquatlon will commence on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., starting from the sea, next to the Ilirija Pool, in Biograd na Moru.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Individuals who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the BFF AQUATLON MEDIUM 500 M SWIMMING + 2 KM RUNNING:

- Aged 18 and above.

 

- Individuals aged 14 to 18 may participate with a signed consent form from their parents or legal guardians. [LINK TO THE FORM]

 

- Completed registration for the race (filled out the online form at www.stotinka.hr + payment of the entry fee).

Competitors, by registering and paying the entry fee, directly agree to compete at their own risk. They acknowledge being familiar with the rules and regulations of the competition, which they will adhere to, as well as the potential risks involved. Competitors waive the possibility of transferring responsibility to the race organizer, as well as to other competitors or third parties. By registering, competitors confirm that they are in suitable psychophysical condition for this type of competition.

STARTER PACKS

Starter pack collection is organized at the main location: next to the Ilirija Pool in Biograd na Moru, on Sunday, June 23, from 08:00 to 09:30.

Contents of the starter pack: race number, competition t-shirt, bag for storing personal items in the wardrobe. To collect the starter pack and race number, presentation of a personal document is mandatory. Collection of the race number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the personal document of the registered individual.

COMPETITION NUMBERS

Each competitor will receive their race number. The organizer will write the number on the arm of each competitor using a waterproof marker, and each competitor is required to keep their race number for the subsequent collection of personal items and refreshments after the competition.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

By registering, competitors acknowledge being familiar with the list of MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:

- Swimming attire (natural swimming costumes, FINA-certified swimming suits, and triathlon suits).

- Running shoes.

- During the running part, it is mandatory to wear a t-shirt or dress.

DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPETITION/TIMING

The Aquatlon will start from the finish line set in the sea, not far from the shore, and swimmers will swim around the marked buoys in a circular route. The distance is 500 meters. After the first part of the competition, swimming, competitors will exit the sea, put on their running shoes, and continue running along the marked 2 km track.

Competition results will be published shortly after the competition on the website www.stotinka.hr.

COURSE ALTERATIONS

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the course, without prior notice, depending on weather conditions.

ENTRY FEE PAYMENT

By paying the entry fee, competitors confirm their acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid. In case of absence from the competition, the paid fee will not be refunded.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments will be provided for competitors after the race (upon presentation of the race number).

WARDROBE

Storage for storing personal items during the competition will be provided in the immediate vicinity of the starting line and will be available to competitors at the finish line. Storage is only possible in the bag provided as part of the starter pack and upon presentation of the race number at drop-off and pick-up. NATURE CONSERVATION

The race takes place in nature, and accordingly, it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of nature and environmental protection and respect behavioral rules in protected natural areas. Competitors must not pollute the environment or throw waste into the sea during the competition. Let's be careful with nature, preserve it, and enjoy its most beautiful form!

CONSENT TO MEDIA FREEDOM

By registering for the competition, competitors agree that all recorded film and photographic material may be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes of the race. The competition organizer retains all rights to use, copy, and distribute all recorded video and photo materials.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

On May 25, 2018, the so-called GDPR or European Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data came into force, determining under what conditions data submitted to a third party may or may not be used. Of course, this concerns us as well, as we collect your data for the purpose of registering for the competition, so please keep the following in mind:

- The data we receive from you will be used exclusively for the purpose of your registration for the competition. This data will be publicly disclosed only in two cases – the publication of the starting list of competitors and the publication of the competition results. Since the competition would not make sense without your data and it is posted online exclusively for your information, it is used voluntarily according to regulations, and its disclosure is permitted.

 

- During each registration via the www.stotinka.hr system, you must agree to the terms of use, which includes the GDPR regulation. If you have any objections to the publication of your data in the form of starting and finishing lists, please contact us so that we can remove you from them. However, by doing so, you will lose the purpose of your participation in the competition and your ranking in it, but we are obligated to do so if you request it.

 

- From the moment of your registration for the competition until the actual holding of the competition, you will receive several emails from us with information related to the organization of the competition and registration for it, but all still in the context of your voluntary participation in it.

 

- The data that will be publicly disclosed before the competition are: your first and last name, your club, your country, and the competition you are registering for. Other data such as your date of birth, email address, home address, city, and all other requested data, remain in our database until the end of the competition, for the purpose of intervention towards the competitor in case of unforeseen circumstances. After the competition, the data will be deleted, and only the results including the following data will remain publicly displayed: your race number, first and last name, country, club, category, gender, and position in the ranking.

 

- We will not and cannot use your data for other purposes or sell it to third parties for remarketing.
