STARTER PACKS: Collection of starter packs is organized at the main location, on the beach near the Ilirija pool, on Saturday, June 22, from 4:30 PM to 6:15 PM.
Starter pack contents: race number, race shirt, sponsor gifts, festival medal, bag for storing personal items in the locker room. To collect the starter pack and race number, it is mandatory to present a personal document. Collection of the race number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the personal document of the registered person.
BFF TRAIL 9 KM, the route starts in front of the Ilirija Hotel and is circular. Participants who choose this route will enjoy a 9 km trail, with a 90-meter ascent. The route, like the short 5 km route, passes through Soline, Ljutić, Kumenat beaches, and continues to Lumbrak beach, from where it begins its return to Biograd. There is a refreshment station at the 5th kilometer. The next 3 kilometers, a combination of gravel and asphalt paths, lead participants to the finish line in front of the Ilirija Hotel.
The 5 km route will be marked with RED markings or RED ribbons that need to be followed from start to finish.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION
ORGANIZATION
The BFF Trail Race 9 km, as part of the BIOGRAD FAMILY & FRIENDS FESTIVAL, is organized by the Break a Leg agency, in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the city of Biograd na Moru. The race starts on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 6:30 PM, next to the Ilirija pool in Biograd na Moru.
CATEGORIES
Participants can compete in three categories:
5 km – INDIVIDUAL
9 km – INDIVIDUAL
14 km – TEAM (one participant runs 5 km, and the other 9 km – results are summed up to determine the winning pair)
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
All individuals who meet the following criteria can participate in the race:
- aged 18 and above
- individuals aged 14-18 can participate with a signed permit from parents or guardians LINK TO FORM
- participants under 14 can participate accompanied by an adult responsible for the minor participant and with a signed permit from parents or guardians LINK TO FORM
- have appropriate physical and mental fitness for prolonged exertion and outdoor activities
- have registered for the race (completed online form at www.stotinka + payment of entry fee)
By registering, participants directly agree to compete at their own risk, acknowledge the race rules and regulations they will adhere to, as well as the potential risks involved in the competition.
By registering, participants declare that they are aware of the RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT list, crucial for their personal safety, and that failure to carry it increases the risk of dehydration, inability to treat injuries, inability to call for help, inability to assist injured participants, inability to contact the organizer, and even death. By registering, participants waive the possibility of transferring responsibility to the race organizer, as well as towards other participants or third parties. By registering, participants confirm they are in suitable physical and mental condition for this type of competition.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
A list of equipment recommended by the organizer for all participants, regardless of the race length:
- backpack or waist pack
- bottle with a minimum of 0.5 liters of liquid at the start
- food (gel, energy bar, etc.)
- first aid kit (1 elastic bandage, 1 first aid kit, 2 compresses, adhesive bandages of various sizes)
- mobile phone (turned on, with a charged battery, and organizer's numbers stored)
Recommended equipment / according to weather conditions:
- clothing for protection from sun/wind/rain
- sunscreen
- spare clothing
STARTER PACKS
The collection of starter packs is organized at the main location: Next to the Ilirija pool in Biograd na Moru, on Saturday, June 22, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Starter pack contents: race number, race shirt, water bottle, bag for storing personal items in the locker room. To collect the starter pack and race number, it is mandatory to present a personal document. Collection of the race number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the personal document of the registered person.
RACE NUMBERS
Upon confirmation of registration, each participant will receive a race number.
The race number MUST BE WORN throughout the race, on the upper part of the body, in front, it must not be covered, and must be clearly visible (it is not allowed to wear the race number on the legs, back, backpack, or on the side).
Each race number has a highlighted contact number of the organizer in case of an emergency call.
WARDROBE
Storage for storing personal items during the race is provided near the start/finish line of the race. Storage is possible only in the bag provided as part of the starter pack and upon presentation of the race number at delivery and pickup. For items not collected within the specified time, it is necessary to contact a representative of the organizer at the contact number +385993239643.
REFRESHMENTS
During the race, participants are provided with 1 REFRESHMENT on the course.
At the FINISH, participants are provided with DINNER (with presentation of the race number).
COURSE DESCRIPTION / TIMING
The long route starts in front of the Ilirija Hotel and is circular. Participants who opt for this route will enjoy a 9 km trail, with a 90-meter ascent. The route, like the short 5 km route, passes through Soline, Ljutić, Kumenat beaches, and continues to Lumbrak beach, from where it begins its return to Biograd. There is a refreshment station at the 5th kilometer. The next 3 kilometers, a combination of gravel and asphalt paths, lead participants to the finish line in front of the Ilirija Hotel.
Several checkpoints will be marked along the race course where an organizer's representative will be present.
The passage of runners is recorded at the START and at the entrance to the FINISH. Race results will be published immediately after the race on the website www.stotinka.hr.
MARKINGS ON THE TRACK
The 9 km route will be marked with RED markings or RED ribbons that need to be followed from start to finish.
TIME LIMITS
There is a time limit to complete the race. To be included in the official ranking, a participant must finish the race within a certain time limit (3 hours for the 9 km trail).
WITHDRAWAL
Participants who decide to withdraw during the race must do the following:
- inform the organizer at the refreshment station about withdrawal, or
- return to the start/finish and inform the organizer about withdrawal, or
- inform the organizer via mobile phone (displayed on the race number) about withdrawal.
If withdrawal is due to injury and the participant is unable to continue to the start/finish of the race, the participant must contact the organizer via phone / with the help of other participants at the number displayed on the race number.
ROUTE CHANGE
The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the route at any time and without prior notice. Any changes will be announced on the official race website.
ENTRY FEE PAYMENT
By paying the entry fee, the participant confirms acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid.
In case of absence from the race, the paid fee will not be refunded.
NATURE PROTECTION
The races are held in nature, and accordingly, it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of nature and environmental protection and to respect the rules of behavior in protected natural areas. Participants must not pollute the environment or destroy surrounding flora and fauna during the race, nor throw waste on the trail or dispose of garbage anywhere between the start and finish of the race.
Let's be mindful of nature, preserve it, and enjoy it in its most beautiful form!
MEDIA FREEDOM AGREEMENT
By registering for the race, participants agree that all recorded film and photographic material may be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes of the race. The race organizer reserves all rights to use, copy, and distribute all recorded video and photo materials.
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
On May 25, 2018, the GDPR or European Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data came into force, which determines how and under what conditions the data submitted to a third party may be used. Of course, this also concerns us, who collect your data for race registration, so please keep the following in mind:
- We will only use the data we receive from you solely for the purpose of your race registration. We will only publicly disclose this data in two cases – for the publication of the starting lists of participants and the publication of race results. Since the race itself would make no sense without your data, and it is posted online solely for your information, according to regulations, it is used voluntarily, and its publication is permitted.
- When registering via the www.stotinka.hr system, to continue filling out the data, you must agree to the terms of use, which includes the GDPR regulation. If you have any objections to the publication of your data in the form of starting and finishing lists, please contact us so we can remove you from them. Although this action nullifies the purpose of your participation in the race and you lose your ranking in it, we are obliged to do so if you request it.
- From the moment of your registration for the race until the race itself, you will receive several emails from us with information related to the race organization and registration for it, all still in the context of your voluntary participation in it.
- The data that will be publicly disclosed before the race are: your full name, your club, your country, and the race you are registering for. Other data such as your date of birth, email address, home address, city, and all other requested data remain in our database until the end of the race, for intervention purposes towards the participant in case of unforeseen circumstances. Data is deleted after the race, and only the results including data such as your race number, full name, country, club, category, gender, and ranking remain publicly displayed.
- We are not allowed and will not use your data for other purposes, nor sell them to third parties for remarketing purposes.
