ORGANIZATION

The DŠOF TRAIL 24 KM, as part of the DALMATIA ŠIBENIK OUTDOOR FESTIVAL, is organized by the agency Break a Leg, in cooperation with the Tourist Board of Šibenik-Knin County and the Tourist Board of Rogoznica. The race starts on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10:00 am, from Lozica beach in Rogoznica.

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

The race is open to all individuals who meet the following conditions:

- aged 18 and above

- individuals aged 14-18 may participate with a signed permission form from parents or guardians (LINK TO FORM)

- competitors under 14 may participate accompanied by an adult responsible for them, with a signed permission form from parents or guardians

- have appropriate physical and mental fitness for prolonged exertion and outdoor activities

- have registered for the race (filled out the online form at www.stotinka.hr + paid the registration fee)

By registering, the participant agrees to compete in the race at their own risk, acknowledges awareness of and agrees to abide by the race rules and regulations, as well as the potential risks involved in the competition.

By registering, the participant declares that they are familiar with the list of RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT, crucial for their personal safety, and acknowledges that failure to carry it increases the risk of dehydration, hypothermia, inability to treat injuries, inability to call for help, inability to assist injured competitors, inability to contact the organizer, and even death. By registering, the participant waives the possibility of transferring liability to the race organizer, as well as to other competitors or third parties. By registering, the participant confirms that they are in appropriate physical and mental condition for this type of competition.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

List of equipment recommended for all competitors:

- backpack or waist pack

- bottle with at least 0.5 L of liquid at the start

- food (gel, energy bars, etc.)

- first aid kit (min: 1 elastic bandage, 1 first aid kit, 2 compresses, adhesive bandages of various sizes)

- mobile phone (turned on, with charged battery, and organizer's numbers saved)

Recommended equipment according to weather conditions:

- clothing for protection against rain/wind/sun

- sunscreen

- spare clothing

START PACKAGES

Start packages can be collected at the main location - Lozica beach in Rogoznica on Sunday, September 22, from 08:30 to 09:30.

Contents of the start package: bib number, race shirt, bag for storing personal items in the wardrobe, sponsor gifts. To collect the start package and bib number, presentation of a personal document is mandatory. Collection of the bib number for another person is possible only with presentation of the personal document of the registered individual.

RACE NUMBERS

Upon registration confirmation, each participant will receive a bib number. The bib number MUST BE WORN throughout the race, on the upper part of the body, front-facing, not covered, and clearly visible (wearing the bib number on the legs, back, backpack, or on the side is not allowed).

Each bib number displays the organizer's contact phone number in case of emergency.

WARDROBE

A wardrobe for storing personal items during the race will be provided near the start/finish line. Storage is only possible in the bag provided as part of the start package, and presentation of the bib number is required for both deposit and retrieval. For unclaimed items during the specified time, contact the organizer's representative at +385 99 323 9643.

REFRESHMENT STATIONS

At the finish line, participants will be provided with a meal and drink upon presentation of their bib number.

CHECKPOINTS / TIME MEASUREMENT

Several checkpoints will be marked along the race where an organizer's representative will be present.

The passage of runners is recorded at the START and upon entering the FINISH. Race results will be published immediately after the race on the website www.stotinka.hr.

MARKINGS ON THE TRACK

The 24 km trail will be marked with RED markings, which must be followed throughout the race.

TIME LIMIT

There is a time limit for completing the race. To be included in the official rankings, the participant must finish the race within a specified time limit (5 hours for the 24 km trail).

WITHDRAWAL

Participants who decide to withdraw during the race must do the following:

- inform the organizer of withdrawal at the nearest refreshment station or

- return to the start/finish line and inform the organizer of withdrawal or

- inform the organizer of withdrawal via mobile phone (number displayed on the bib)

If withdrawal is due to injury and the participant is unable to continue to the nearest refreshment station or the finish line, the participant must contact the organizer via mobile phone/with the help of other participants using the number displayed on the bib. Upon receiving the information, the organizer will activate the emergency medical and rescue service.

TRACK CHANGES

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the track, refreshment stations, at any time and without prior notice. Any changes will be announced on the official race website.

REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT

By paying the registration fee, the participant confirms acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid. In case of non-attendance at the race, the registration fee is non-refundable.

NATURE PROTECTION

The race takes place in nature, and accordingly, it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of nature and environmental protection and respect rules of behavior in protected natural areas. During the race, participants must not pollute the environment or destroy surrounding flora and fauna, must not litter on the trail, and must only dispose of waste at refreshment stations. Let's be careful with nature, preserve it, and enjoy it in its most beautiful form!

MEDIA FREEDOM CONSENT

By registering for the race, participants agree that all recorded film and photographic material can be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes of the race. The race organizer reserves all rights to use, copy, and distribute all recorded video and photo materials.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

On May 25, 2018, the GDPR or European regulation for the protection of personal data came into force, which determines under what conditions data submitted to a third party may or may not be used. Of course, this also applies to us collecting your data for the purpose of race registration, so please keep the following in mind:

- We will only use the data we receive from you exclusively for the purpose of your race registration. We will only publicly disclose this data in two cases - the publication of the starting lists of competitors and the publication of race results. Since the race itself would not make sense without your data, and it is set up online solely for your information, according to regulations, its use is voluntary, and its publication is permitted.

- When registering through the www.stotinka.hr system, to continue filling out the data, you must agree to the terms of use, which include the GDPR regulation. If you have any objections to the publication of your data in the form of starting and finishing lists, please contact us so we can remove you from them. By doing so, however, the purpose of your participation in the competition is lost, and you forfeit your ranking in it, but we are obligated to do so if you request it.

- From the moment of your registration for the race until the start of the race itself, you will receive several emails from us with information related to the race organization and registration, all still within the context of your voluntary participation in it.

- The data that will be publicly disclosed before the race are: your name, your club, your country. Other data such as your date of birth, email address, home address, city, and all other requested data remain in our database until the end of the race, for intervention purposes towards the participant in case of unforeseen circumstances. After the race, the data is deleted, and only the results are publicly displayed, including data: your bib number, name, country, club, category, gender, and ranking.

- We will not and cannot use your data for other purposes or sell it to third parties for remarketing purposes.
