2. NOTE!

By registering, the participant acknowledges and agrees to compete under their own responsibility, is aware of the race rules and regulations, and understands the potential risks involved in the Crazy Hill Trail 2025 race.

By registering, the participant confirms they are familiar with the list of STRICTLY RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT, essential for their safety. Failure to carry the recommended equipment increases the risk of dehydration, hypothermia, inability to address injuries, failure to call for help, inability to assist other participants, failure to contact the organizer, or even death.

By registering, the participant waives the right to hold the race organizer liable for any incidents, whether involving themselves, other participants, or third parties.

Participants also confirm they are in suitable physical and mental condition for this type of competition.
All participants must have valid health insurance.

3. STRICTLY RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

The organizer STRICTLY RECOMMENDS the following equipment:

  • Whistle
  • Backpack or waist pack
  • Bottle or hydration bladder (minimum 0.5L of liquid at the start)
  • Food (gels, energy bars, etc.)
  • First aid kit (elastic bandage, 1 sterile dressing, 2 compresses, plasters)
  • Mobile phone (switched on, fully charged, with the organizer's number saved)
  • Space blanket (emergency foil)

Recommended clothing according to weather conditions:

  • Rain/snow/wind protection clothing
  • Spare clothing
  • Hat
  • Gloves

4. RACE NUMBERS

Each participant will receive a race bib upon confirmation of registration. The bib MUST BE WORN throughout the race on the chest or stomach. It must be clearly visible and not covered (it is not allowed to wear the bib on legs, back, backpack, or the side).
Penalty for non-compliance: 15 minutes.

5. AID STATIONS

NO PLASTIC CUPS! Please bring your own cups, bottles, etc. Let’s protect nature!

The races include aid stations with drinks and food (or drinks only). Organizers will be present at these stations. Unsportsmanlike behavior or violation of race rules will be reported to the race jury, which will decide on disqualification or penalties.

Participants must ensure they carry enough water to last until the next aid station. Personal assistance during the race is not allowed.

Each aid station has a time limit. Stations will close after the cutoff, and route markings will be removed.

6. CHECKPOINTS / PASSAGE RECORDING

In addition to aid stations, there will be checkpoints manned by controllers to record participant progress. Checkpoints are placed at locations prone to course-cutting and are not marked on the race profiles.

Unsportsmanlike behavior, bypassing checkpoints, or not following the marked route will result in disqualification by the race jury.

7. COURSE MARKINGS

The race runs through forest trails, pathways, gravel roads, and some asphalt sections. The course will be marked with ribbons, signs (at key intersections), notices, and arrows on the ground (asphalt).

Where there are no path diversions or turns, the maximum distance between markers will be 100 meters.

8. TIME LIMITS

The race has a time limit. To be officially ranked, participants must finish within the specified time limit.

Time limits also apply to aid stations. Participants must leave the station before the cutoff. After this time, stations will close, and route markings will be removed.

9. WITHDRAWAL

Participants who decide to withdraw must:

  • Inform the organizer at the nearest aid station, or
  • Return to the start/finish area and notify the organizer, or
  • Contact the organizer via phone.

If withdrawal is due to injury or if the participant cannot reach the nearest aid station or the finish, they must notify the organizer via phone or seek help from other participants.

10. DISQUALIFICATION

Participants will be disqualified for the following reasons:

  • Receiving assistance from individuals not involved in the race or its organization.
  • Littering the course and harming flora and fauna.
  • Using any form of transportation during the race.
  • Swapping race numbers with other participants.
  • Taking shortcuts or unmarked paths and leaving the designated race course.
  • Failing to assist participants in distress.
  • Unsportsmanlike behavior or offensive language towards other participants/organizers.
  • Disobeying decisions by organizers, controllers, medical staff, or the mountain rescue service (HGSS).
  • Sharing inappropriate content (photos/videos) that offend other participants or organizers.

Penalties:

  • Not wearing the bib on the chest or stomach: 15-minute penalty.

11. PROTESTS AND APPEALS

Protests and appeals must be submitted in writing to the race director within 1 hour before the official winner announcement. The race jury will review and issue a final decision.

12. COURSE CHANGES OR RACE CANCELLATION

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the course or aid stations without prior notice.
Any changes will be announced on the official race Facebook event or before the race start.

In case of unfavorable weather (heavy rain/snow/wind, high risk of storms) or epidemiological risks, the race may be canceled.

13. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

NO PLASTIC CUPS! Please bring your own cups, bottles, etc. Let’s protect nature!

The race takes place in nature, including protected areas (Kalnik mountain range). Participants must adhere to environmental protection rules and respect the regulations for protected natural areas.

Participants must not litter or damage flora and fauna. Trash can only be disposed of at aid stations. Let’s preserve nature and enjoy its beauty responsibly.
