TERMS & CONDITIONS
All individuals meeting the following criteria can participate in the KSC:
- aged 18 and above
- individuals aged 14 to 18 can participate with a signed consent form from parents or guardians
- registration for the race (completion of the online form at www.stotinka.hr + payment of the entry fee)
If a participant does not have their own SUP (inflatable board) – the organizer will provide them with an inflatable board and paddle.
If a participant has their own SUP - they may compete with it, provided that it is strictly an inflatable board up to 12.6'' in length. By registering and paying the entry fee, the participant agrees to compete at their own risk, abides by the race rules and regulations, acknowledges the possible risks involved, and waives the right to hold the race organizer, other participants, or third parties liable. The participant confirms being in a suitable psycho-physical condition for this type of competition.
By registering for the race, participants agree that all recorded film and photographic material may be publicly displayed and used for promotional purposes of the race. The race organizer retains all rights to use, copy, and distribute all recorded video and photo materials.
- ORGANIZATION
The Kukljica SUP (Stand Up Paddling) Challenge (hereinafter referred to as "KSC") is organized by the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Kukljica, in cooperation with the travel agencies Nadria Travel, Break a leg, and the companies Camping Ugljan and Zelena punta. The race starts on Saturday, 8th June 2024, at 9:30 a.m., at Zelena punta Beach in Kukljica, on the Island of Ugljan.
- TYPES OF RACES
The KSC is a full-day program that includes several races:
SUP PRO - for the fastest
SUP CASUAL - for beginners and recreational paddlers
SUP TANGO - for all categories
SUP PRO is intended for those who want to push their endurance limits or break personal speed records. In this race, categories include men and women. The track length is 3000m.
SUP CASUAL is the perfect opportunity to learn better paddling techniques and board control while enjoying fun tasks and elements along the course. In this race, categories include men and women. The track length is 1500m.
SUP TANGO - SUP Tango is a dynamic team SUP race that requires synchronization and collaboration between two competitors on SUP boards. SUP Tango is a relay in which the first competitor paddles the first half of the course, after which they must pass the relay to their partner, and the second competitor then paddles the second half of the course. In this race, the categories are mixed. Competitors sign up as pairs. The length of the course is 1000m.

- START PACKAGES
The collection of start packages is organized at Zelena punta Beach in Kukljica on Saturday, 8th June, from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m.
Contents of the start package: race bib, competition shirt, water bottle, sponsor gifts. Presentation of a personal document is mandatory for package collection. Collection of the start number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the personal document of the registered individual.
- RACE NUMBERS
Each participant receives their own race bib. The race bib MUST BE WORN throughout the entire race, on the upper front part of the body, clearly visible and not covered.
- MANDATORY CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT
By registering, the participant declares familiarity with the list of MANDATORY CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT:
- swim trunks/swimsuit and/or shorts and shirt and/or short diving suit
- neoprene slippers or barefoot
- TIMEKEEPING
Races start from the designated starting line in the sea. The finish line will be set in the sea, close to the shore, and circular tours along the coast will be conducted. Timing will be recorded. Each participant registers individually for the race. All SUP competitors must stand while paddling. Race results will be published immediately after the race on the organizer's website.
- COURSE CHANGES
The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the course, according to weather conditions, without prior notice.
- ENTRY FEES
By paying the entry fee, the participant confirms acceptance of these rules, and the registration is considered valid. In case of non-attendance at the race, the entry fee is non-refundable.
- REFRESHMENTS
Refreshments and water are provided for participants.
- CHANGING FACILITIES
Changing facilities for storing personal belongings during the race will be provided near the race start and will be available for participants at the finish line. For unclaimed items within the specified time, contact the organizer's representative at the contact number: +385 99 879 7406.
- ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Races are held in nature, and accordingly, it is mandatory to adhere to basic rules of environmental protection and respect rules of conduct in protected natural areas. Participants must not pollute the environment or disrupt the surrounding flora and fauna during the race, must not litter or dispose of waste at any destination between the start and finish lines, nor throw it into the sea. Let's be careful with nature, preserve it, and enjoy it in its most beautiful form!
- MEDIA CONSENT
