The sport and recreation club “Jastreb extreme” is organizing together with the Nature park Žumberak – Samoborsko Highlands the first Trail running race Žumberak Trail that will take place from 23. – 25. August 2019 on the Žumberak and Samoborsko Highlands area.
The race is designed and planned as a three day event to show the natural and historical beauty of Žumberak and the Samoborsko Highland and to promote the cultural and culinary region of this part of the Zagrebačka county.
The race will take place in four different lengths (levels of difficulty) with Start and Finish line on Plešivica Poljanice:

Registration starts on April 10th 2019 and ends on July 21th 2019. The competitors can apply online on the web site https://www.stotinka.hr/hrv/dogadjaj/918, and the registration is considered complete after the competitor pays the contribution to the bank account of the organizer.
Note: Everyone who registers until July 21th 2019 and pays the contribution gets a starter package. Registration and contribution payment will be possible afterwards (after that date) as well but the starter package is then not guaranteed.

TECHNICAL MEETING for each category is 10 minutes before the start.
The Žumberak trail 2019 is a race that is going to take place on routes of various length and where people can participate who fulfill the following conditions:
(completed pre-announcement online form and executed payment of the participation fee)
All competitors agree with their registration directly to compete on this trail race on personal responsibility, to be familiar with the rules and regulations of the Kontinetrail league which they will hold upon and to be familiar with possible risks that this competition might imply.
With their registration the competitors renounce the opportunity to transfer the responsibility to the organizers of the race to the competitors themselves as to third parties.
With their registration the competitors confirm to be in corresponding psychophysical condition adequate to such kind of competition. All competitors have to have health insurance. Through registration for the competition all competitors are obliged to carry all required mandatory equipment with them during the whole race.
The list of mandatory equipment that all competitors MUST have and carry with them necessarily on the Ultra, Duga and Kratka category trails, and which is recommended on the Rekreativna trail as well are:

At the registration every competitor will get a start number. The start number has to be worn during the whole race on the chest/ the front part of the body, and must not be covered but be easily visible ( it is not allowed to wear the start number on the back or on the side).
All races have refreshment spots with beverages and food (or only beverages). At the refreshment points there will be some of the organizers. Every competitor is responsible to have enough liquid until the following/ next refreshment spot. Personal aid on the route during the race is not allowed. According to the time limits for the race the time is limited on the refreshment spots as well. After that time the refreshment spots are closed and the signaling on the route removed.
Besides the refreshment spots at the race there will also be some check points where controllers will be located taking notes about the competitors’ time. If a competitor extends the foreseen time limit, the controllers exclude him/ her from the race and instruct him / her on the shortest way to the Finish.
The race passes through forest paths and tracks/ trails and unpaved tracks and on a short distance also on asphalt. The majority of the ways are marked by classical Croatian hiking marks (red white spots/ lines). Regardless of the hiking marks the trail will additionally be marked by race flags, signal tapes, signposts (on important crossways), labels/ inscriptions and arrows on the ground (asphalt). On spots without crossroads or turning the distance between the signal marks is max. 100 m.
The time to finish the race is limited. For the competitor to be included in the official ranking order he has to finish the race within a particular time period.
Besides the time limits to finish the race, the time at the refreshment points is limited as well. The refreshment points need to be moved away from /left before the time expires. After that time the spots are closed and removed from the trail.
Competitors who decide to give up / to quit during the race have to choose one of the following options:
By receiving this information the organizer is going to activate the doctors’ readiness and the rescuing team. The time of their arrival depends on the spot the injured competitor will be at that moment. Depending on the reason of the quitting the organizer will decide on how fast the evacuation/ return to the Finish will be.
A disqualification automatically means exclusion from the race.

Complaints shall be handed in to the race director in a written form after the end of the race, not later than one hour before the winners are officially announced. The jury of the race will deal with all potential complaints and bring a final conclusion.
The jury consists of three (3) representatives of the organizer. Director of the race is Mladen Budinšćak.

The organizer reserves the right to perform changes on the route and the refreshment spots at any time and without previous announcement. Possible changes will be published on the official web sites of the race.
In case of unfavorable weather conditions (strong rain / wind, high risk of storm) the beginning of the race can be postponed up to 24 hours. If the conditions are not improving and the execution of the race becomes impossible the race is going to be cancelled.
The race takes place in the nature park Žumberak Samoborsko Highlands and according to this fact basic rules of behavior have to be obeyed absolutely, concerning nature and environment protection especially in this protected natural area. The competitors are not allowed to pollute the surrounding flora and fauna; they must not throw any litter during the race on the route except at the refreshment stops.
By registration to this race the competitors give their consent for the whole recorded material (film and photos) to be shown and released in public and used for commercial purposes of the race. The organizer of the race reserves all rights for usage, reproduction and distribution of all recorded video and photo material.
