Event - Public Race Registered Competitors ResultsThe sports climbing competition starts on Saturday, 8.10. at 15:00, on the climbing site Poturičini kruzi, on the island of Zlarin.
From the boat pier to the climbing area it is a 45-minute walk, but the hosts from TZ Zarin and members of SPK Teton will meet you at the main pier and accompany you to the location. Whether you are an experienced climber, or just a beginner who will try this attractive outdoor discipline for the first time, one thing is for sure – you will enjoy the beautiful ambience and untouched nature of the island of Zlarin, one of the sunniest islands of the Adriatic, with as much as 2,700 hours of sun per year!
The climber uses the strength, endurance of his body and knowledge of climbing techniques to advance on the rock, while technical means serve him exclusively to insure against injury. Sports climbing has a number of positive effects: physical development of the body and development of motor skills (endurance, flexibility, coordination, balance); improves focus, strengthens self-confidence, favors solving the fear of heights.
The sport climbing competition will take place in one climbing direction. Competitors climb secured from above (the so-called top rope), and the criterion for determining the position of competitors in the overall ranking represents the time it takes to successfully master the direction. The ascent time covers the time from the referee's signal to the start to the moment when the competitor touches the anchorage with one hand indicating the end of the course.
Start packages
The pick-up of the starting packages is organized in the main location – Mali Viganj (Jadrija); Saturday, 8.10., from 10:30 to 13:00.
A free transfer by boat to Zlarin is organized on Saturday, 8.10., at 12:00 pm from Jadrija (for the workshop) and at 13:30 (for the competition). The return transfer is at 17:00 and at 18:00.
To pick up the starting number and starter package, it is mandatory to present an ID document. Picking up the starting number for another person is possible only with the presentation of the personal document of the registered person.
By paying the registration fee on time, you are entitled to the STARTING PACKAGE, which includes the following: promotional bag of the Tourist board of Šibenik-Knin County, dry fit race shirt, sponsor gifts, refreshments, starting number, bag for storing personal belongings, finisher's medal, medal for the first three places in the women's and men's categories, winning package for the first three places in both categories, race photography and video materials.
