MARATHON

 

Plitvice marathon is a road race with the total length of 42.195 m. The race consists of one lap and has an offical AIMS certificate. Start and finish of the race are at the same place. Control points are on the 12^th and the 30^th kilometer.

 

Start of the race is at 8.30am, 4^th of July 2021 in the town of Mukinje, in front of the Sports Recreational Hall Mukinje.

 

All healthy competitors can participate in the race and every competitor is running at their own risk. Through race registration competitors waive the possibility that the race organizer will assume liability and confirm they are healthy and capable to finish the race. Organizer has secured medical care in accordance with the rules of road racing. 

 

Marathon can be run by all competitors that are 18 years or older at the day of the race.

 

Through race registration every competitor gives consent to be photographed before, during and after the race and the organizer can use those photos for its own needs and the promotion of the event. All competitors also give consent to the organizer to use their personal data for internal communication and promotion of the event.

 

Refreshments will be provided at the start, during the race and at the finish line in accordance with IAAF and Croatian Athletic Federation road racing guidelines. In the finish line area additional refreshments will be available as well.

 

Race times are measured through electronic chip-timing and all race results will be published on the official race website immediately after the finish of the race. All competitors will have net finishing time (chip time) and gross time (time from the race start signal to the finish line). For official race order in accordance with the IAAF rules gross time is used.

 

Race number is placed exclusively on chest area and must be visible during the whole race – half-marathon and marathon race numbers are different colors. Competitors must have their chip-timer on them at all times during the race and without it their race time will not be valid. Non-compliance with these rules can result in disqualification.

 

Time limit for the race is 6:00 hours (8:32 min/km). Time limit control will be on the last relay change at the 30^th kilometer.

 

Non-official race results will be published immediately after the race. Time limit for race results appeal is three days after the publication of the race results. After the expiration of the time limit the results become official.

 

All traffic is closed during the race and the first group of runners will have police escort.

 

Unless otherwise stated, all rules of Croatian Athletic Federation aligned with IAAF rules are applied.
